Exerpt from May 2018 Underwater Survey:

Solar is a Sunset Class Sloop yacht. Carrel planked in spotted gum

And red jarrah. She has been dynal sheathed below the water line,

The hull was percussion tested and no delamination was found.

No weeping or trapped water behind the dynal was found and the hull is in sound condition. Below the water line there are four bronze skin fittings which are flush mounted and counter sunk to the planking below the water line. There is a log fitted on the port side which is broken and should be removed next slipping. There is minor play in the shaft bearing. The rudder was in good condition as well as the shaft and propeller however the shaft should be shortened to fit an anode, as it is too long by about 1 ½ inches. Overall below the water line she is in good condition and structurally sound.
