Renowned as one of the most perfect cruising yachts ever created, Amel Yachts have all the features that one could possibly wish for to explore the most remote corners of the world in safety, ease of handling and comfort. The are respected the world over for their endurance, unequalled seaworthiness and comfort as live-aboard.

The build of every Amel provides unsurpassed strength and structural integrity with the hull, deck, bulkheads and furniture all laminated together to form one piece.

Four genuine watertight bulkheads and isolated engine room provide safety and quietness not found in other 50-foot yachts.

The interior is luxurious with a large owner’s stateroom aft and ensuite.

Forward are 2 cabins, port-side cabin has double berth, starboard cabin has 2 bunk berths, a large head with shower and sink is forward in bow.

The clothes washer and dryer are in the forward head.

The saloon has a U-shaped dinette on the port side and 2 armchairs on the starboard side. The galley is a U-shaped galley with plenty of storage and bench space.

The navigation station is large and very comfortable.

A sea-berth cabin is located in passageway to the aft owner’s cabin.

All cabins have plenty of storage and all bilge areas can be used for storage as the wet bilge is in engine room.

The interior is finished with high quality gloss vanished Mahogany timber giving a sense of luxury and warmth.

The Amel 54 centre cockpit is high and dry with windscreen and full covers providing great protection from the elements and an entertaining area for dining and relaxing. The centre cockpit also provides a very secure helm station with all major sailing controls keeping the helmsman safe in the cockpit.

The sails are all electric furling controlled by joysticks at the helm station and electric winches make handling the sails light work.

The boat is fitted with all options including davits, pasarelle, heating, air-con, genset, electric furling staysail, plus more.

This is a lightly used Amel 54 having been stored for 3 years of its life, low engine hours of 1700 hours.

The boat is currently cruising in the South Pacific and is genuinely for sale by motivated vendors.

'Gallivant' is faultlessly presented and a credit of her owners of many years. Her presentation could rival a new boat and she is equipped to suit blue-water cruising in comfort and safety. She is immensely strong, powerful, manoeuvrable, and to make you feel even safer, fitted with four water-tight bulkhead in the event of a collision.

"Gallivant" is regrettably offered for sale as her owners wish to return to the US, which will certainly be an emotional moment, although it is a consolation for them to know that they are handing over their beloved ‘Gallivant’ to her new family in beautiful condition, ready to continue sailing around the world and to provide her new owners with as much joy and pride as she has brought to them over the years.

A WORD FROM THE OWNER:

"Gallivant was built in 2006. The original owner used the boat for short periods, only for 4 years. It was in storage until we purchased it in January 2012. We have used the boat for 6 to 8 months each year since, with the exception of a 1 ½ year lay up for unexpected personal reasons. We spent 5 of those years cruising the Caribbean, with several crossings of the Caribbean Sea, visiting nearly every island. We transited the Panama Canal in February 2018 and have crossed the Pacific. In August 2019, we are currently cruising Vanuatu. Our short term plan is to go to New Caledonia.

We have been cruising together for over 40 years on a variety of boats. The Amel 54 is the ultimate cruising yacht, the best in comfort and safety. After owning this boat and sailing it many thousands of miles, I would not want to cross oceans on any other vessel."
