Presented in turn key condition and with everything on board needed to start your journey, ‘Shorleave’ will be best suited to A live-aboard family who want a serious, veritable ship to take them everywhere safely without compromising on the comfort of home. Capable of moving under sail and also equipped with two reliable Perkins diesels fully rebuilt in 2014, this extraordinary vessel will keep you self-reliant for long period of time.

Read on for the full description and watch our video walk-through for more info.

Shorleave is regrettably offered for sale as her owners have returned to Canada with little warning due to Covid-19, which was an emotional moment and a rushed goodbye, although it is a consolation for them to know that they are handing over their beloved Shorleave to her new family in beautiful condition, ready to continue sailing around the world and to provide her new owners with as much joy and pride as she has brought to them for the past 14 years.

A WORD FROM THE OWNER:

"For two years from 2004-2006 Shorleave was our “home” away from home. We had an amazing trip with our kids age 5,7,9 &11. We travelled from Hawaii to New Zealand and back through the South Pacific to Hawaii. Our 15,000 mile odyssey was a trip of a lifetime.

Shorleave was the perfect boat for our large family. The ample rooms and the lower lounge provided lots of areas for the kids to do their school work and play.

The open floor plan upstairs allowed me to be able to communicate with the captain in the wheelhouse , keep an eye on our surroundings all while I was preparing a meal in the galley.

Safety was always very important to us having our four kids onboard. We felt comfortable on Shorleave because she was designed and built by / for a family who also cruised with their children.

She is a solid boat that was tested when we experienced some cyclone force winds when leaving New Zealand. Shorleave was a safe, reliable and wonderful boat for our family.

We have enjoyed many adventures on her for the last 16 years but we have decided to move onto another chapter of our life. We have purchased a Land Yacht (truck and camper) and want to spend time exploring in our own backyard, Canada."
