Nautilus Yacht Management is proud to present to market the outstanding Lagoon 52S Walleva. Maintained beautifully by her owners, a family with 4 children who sailed her almost half way around the world between 2022 and 2026, Walleva was extensively refitted in preparation for her voyage and continuously upgraded and improved along the way. Walleva is second to none if you are looking for a fully equipped, turnkey yacht to take you anywhere in the world. Because Walleva's family wanted to ensure that she is in perfect health to be passed on to a new family, she was fully surveyed on May 20th, 2026 by renowned Australian surveyor and multihull specialist Don Buckley prior to going to market. The report is available on request.
The Lagoon 52 S (Sports Top) is a luxurious catamaran which offers second-to-none appeal for family ocean cruising. Combining immense, apartment-like living spaces with a manageable, easy-to-sail rig, it also offers the perfect balance of offshore safety, multi-zone lounging, and the independent privacy required for extended family life on the water.
Aft-Step Mast: Unlike traditional setups, the mast is stepped further aft. This shifts the mainsail's centre of effort, making it smaller and much easier to manage while reducing pitching in heavy seas.
Self-Tacking Jib: Crucial for family cruising, this allows you to tack the boat effortlessly without having to manually adjust the headsail sheets.
Centralised Control: All halyards and electric winches are centralised and within easy reach of the lower helm or Sportop roof, meaning one parent can easily handle the boat while the rest of the family relaxes.
Secure Deck Spaces: The wide side-decks and flush transitions between the aft cockpit and the saloon mean kids can move around safely without tripping over coamings. The forward cockpit also creates a shaded, secure "playpen" area while underway.
Low-Profile Sport Top: The "S" (Sports Top) version replaces the massive, high-up flybridge with a lower roofline. This lowers the boat's centre of gravity for better stability in ocean chop and feels significantly safer for families with younger children.
Endless Space and Privacy, Multi-Zone Living:The Lagoon 52 features distinct living areas—the forward cockpit, the large aft cockpit for dining, and the saloon. This allows teenagers and younger children to find their own space without feeling on top of one another during long passages.
Massive Tankage & Payload: With a standard freshwater and fuel capacity of almost 1000L, the boat can stay off the grid for extended stretches, which is essential for remote cruising grounds.
Heavy Payload Capacity: Catamarans naturally carry a lot of weight. You can easily stock the boat with weeks of food, water toys, kayaks, and dive gear without sacrificing sailing performance.

A Word From The Owners:
"In 2021 my wife and I had been talking for several months about buying a boat and living aboard full time with our kids and around Christmas that year we decided that is what we were going to do.
12 months later we had sold everything and purchased our new home, a 2017 Lagoon 52S in Le Marin, Martinique in the eastern Caribbean. We moved aboard January 18th, 2023.
It’s a 2018 model built in 2017 that was in charter in Le Marin with Star Voyage. We chose this boat because we have 4 kids and since we would be living full time on it we wanted everyone to have their own space and have room for our family and friends to enjoy.
When the boat was in charter the company policy was any boat over 50 feet required a captain and this was the only vessel they had over that length so it really didn’t fit with what their clientele wanted so it wasn’t used very often and when it was it was professionally captained.
We stayed in Le Marin for a few months updating electronics, adding a solar arch, outfitting the boat and getting a new tender.
We sailed up to Antigua and then back down to Grenada for Hurricane season exploring the eastern Caribbean our first year. After hurricane season and meeting so many cruising families we sailed back to Martinique as a group and hosted Christmas with three other boat families. We were able to serve dinner and have space for 17 people! Walleva became the hosting boat for so many occasions due to her size and comfort. Our Friends nick named her “Condomaran”.
Our first year was full of so many adventures in the Caribbean and after things settled down from Christmas we realised we wanted to prepare our boat for crossing the South Pacific with whatever other boat families we had met along the way.
We sailed to Saint Maarten in March of 2024 and added more sails, added and refreshed rigging, generators, plumbing, ground tackle and much more, enjoying time with friends along the way. My wife wanted to be in a new country for her birthday in May, so we sailed to Curacao after leaving Martinique with fresh baguettes and French cheese. In Curacao we were able to use our new diving set up, compressor and gear which did not disappoint for daily diving for weeks on end.
We made our way to Panama Nov 2024 via the A,B,C’s and Columbia. We stayed in Panama for 3 months finishing our preparation to cross the Pacific. We completed the electronics upgrade, adding lithium batteries and replacing the factory solar on the coach roof with new and larger panels, finishing with complete Victron hardware and software management for our energy needs. We put in all new refrigeration and we were are able to provision for 8 months of living in the Pacific in the most remote areas.
We transited the Panama Canal early February of 2025 and started the 4300NM crossing to Hiva Oa, French Polynesia a few days later with three other boat families. We caught yellowfin and bluefin tuna, sailfish, and marlin. We saw dolphins, orcas, and we had a Brydes whale that swam with us for 45 minutes, 5 feet from the boat and across the bows like a pod of dolphins.
We explored French Polynesia for 4 months, living in remote atolls, swimming and diving with sharks, meeting locals that lived so remote they would hope for a supply ship maybe once a year. We traded our abundant stocks of sugar, flour, snacks and peanut butter for out of this world experiences such as hunting for coconut crabs and lobster in the middle of the night or a local dinner by the only family on the island.
We stopped in Papeete, Tahiti to resupply and perform some maintenance and then lingered as long as we could in western French Polynesia before we set sail for more of the South Pacific.
We crossed to American Samoa in July and stayed for a little under a month before making the passage to Savusavu, Fiji.
We have been staying in Fiji, enjoying the hospitality and beauty that is here.
We have sailed 12,000 miles on Walleva, almost halfway around the world. In that time we have done so many amazing things with our family of six in places we never thought we would see. We have met so many friends around the world that we still keep in touch with and visit.
Walleva is a very capable and strong yacht that has been able to carry our large family safely through this incredible adventure. Our oldest has now graduated high school and is launching into the world on her own as well as our other 3 children are soon to do the same. We are so sad to be starting the departure from this adventure but we are preparing for our next stage in life with our grown children(or helping them prepare for theirs!)." Fiji, May 2026
