----------
Built by Jeantot Marine in 1991, Ora2 has excellent pedigree, having been across the Atlantic Ocean, Pacific ocean and now located in the paradise that is South East Asia. The experienced offshore cruising owners have set this boat up for extended remote travel with systems that enable self sufficiency, combined with spare parts and tools to maintain those systems.
This Privilege 43 is a 5-cabin design. Two of the cabins are currently used as storage but can easily be returned to accommodation. The remaining three cabins are all double-sized and feature ample storage, both cupboards and hanging lockers.
The forward cabins feature ensuite bathrooms complete with granite countertops, showers, and toilets, one of which is electric, the other compostable. There is an additional bathroom in the starboard hull with an electric toilet and shower.
Meals are prepared in a large, well designed galley located in the port hull. With ample bench space, double sinks, 120L fridge, 3-burner gas cooktop, gas oven and copious storage, cooking for one or many is a breeze. Water is generated via a 90L-per-hour watermaker. There is also a foot-pump salt-water tap over one sink.
Up the few steps from the galley is a large central salon. The wrap-around seating is perfect for relaxing or socialising indoors, complete with storage underneath. No need to go down to the galley for a cold drink as the salon features an under-seat Dometic drawer fridge. The good-sized coffee table is perfect for a game of cards or watching movies on your preferred device.
Beside the seating is the chart table, navigation instruments and electrical control panels. This has everything needed to monitor and control the onboard systems.
Going down into the starboard hull, in addition to the cabins and bathrooms, there is a 120l freezer, copious amounts of storage and a laundry locker complete with top-loading washing machine and Dyson stick vacuum cleaner. These items greatly improve the cruising experience, including reducing on-land laundry costs.
Back into the salon, you step aft through double-opening doors to a large cockpit complete with wrap-around seating, large drop-leaf table, fibreglass hardtop that includes water-catching ability, and sunshades that roll up and can be quickly and easily removed when not needed. Under the outdoor seating is additional storage and a 5kVA diesel generator that is large enough to supply ample power yet still small enough to achieve excellent fuel economy. This, combined with a large solar panel array, ensures you always have the energy you need.
The primary sailing controls are located in the cockpit, including main sheet, main traveller, jib and Code 0 sheet winches.
The helm station is located on the aft starboard side of the cockpit and includes a large Garmin multi-function display screen, Raymarine instruments, large steering wheel, VHF remote and remote anchor windlass switch. With both helm and sailing controls located together, along with an autopilot remote, this boat is easily sailed short- or single-handed.
With a sail wardrobe including a main, jib, Code Zero and staysail, you have a wide range of sailing options. The dynemma rigging and lifelines and high bridge deck clearance contribute to this boat sailing well on all points of sail.
When there is no wind to sail or manovering, she is powered by twin 3YM30 Yanmar engines attached to shafts and fixed propellers.
Anchoring is safely and easily achieved by a Lowrance windlass with foot switches at the bow (also a control switch at the helm), a 25kg Mantus anchor, and 80m chain rode. A back-up Fortress anchor and rode are also on hand.
When you are not relaxing on the spacious fore deck or trampolines you may be using some of the toys that come with the sale including snorkeling sets, SCUBA equipment, Coltri dive compressor, fishing rods/reels and a sit on kayak
This boat is ready to take you safely and comfortably wherever your dreams desire.
