‘Venturi II’ presents in outstanding condition and has been equipped with everything you need for safe offshore sailing and comfortable living aboard. This is an opportunity to enter the Outremer family and acquire a beautiful Outremer 45 for which you would otherwise need to wait at least 24 months to be built.

Delivered in La Grande Motte in March 2016, Venturi II is hull number 12.  She is the only Outremer 45 currently available in Europe and also has the huge advantage of fully paid EU VAT.  European member citizens would have no worries sailing her in EU waters or returning whenever they wish.

The Outremer 45 is a masterpiece of intelligent design – everything that you need and nothing that you don’t. She has all of the creature comforts necessary to enjoy cruising without sacrificing sailing performance.  Every aspect of the boat design has been thought out to maximize ergonomics, ease of use, and functionality, and all finishes were carefully selected to feel luxurious while still being lightweight and extremely durable.

With seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces, daily living and guest entertainment are effortless. The boat is suitable for an entire family or single-handers and couples with several guests. Venturi II’s 4-cabin layout provides lots of flexibility in terms of sleeping space and additional storage compared to the 3-cabin version.  Another major plus is the abundance of headroom for a catamaran of this size.

The Outremer 45 is not just a head turner wherever she goes with her gorgeous lines, she is also a weapon under sails and a safe, fast, comfortable offshore voyager. This boat will cruise under sail, well into the double digits in a moderate breeze, and when the weather lightens, you will still be sailing along well after other boats have turned on their engines. Venturi II has a full selection of sails suitable for light or heavy weather at any point of sail.

More about Outremer

The French have long been synonymous with exceptional boat building and design, and the Outremers, for the many decades since their first model took the sailing world by storm in 1984, have remained un-dethroned as the very best catamarans in the world for many reasons. First of all, Outremer is one of the only multihulls that even the most committed mono-hull sailors will covet. Sailing performance, even as cruising yachts designed with safety in mind, shows an unbelievable speed, yet a smoothness in even difficult sea conditions. Most of the sails can be adjusted from the helm, where there is an electric winch, making it easy for the boat to be sailed even by one person alone or a shorthanded crew.

“The intent is to build a boat that will last 50 years,” said Outremer director of sales Matthieu Rougevin-Baville. Outremer yachts are built with this commitment in mind and a religious effort to keep their owners safe over the millions of miles covered by their boats, where adventure can go along with peace of mind and a fast, responsive boat can also remain safe and comfortable both at sea and at anchor.

“Venturi II’ delivered this promise and will continue to deliver it for decades to come for her new owner.

OWNER’S COMMENTS AND VESSEL HISTORY

Venturi ll is my 3rd catamaran. When we decided to buy this wonderful boat, we had planned to sail around the Mediterranean in order to get to know the boat better and do all of the upgrades that we felt were necessary for a long trip around the world. We had planned to stop working for a while but, unfortunately, this part of the plan proved to be difficult.  We are now in a situation where we have this fantastic boat but are not able to use it as we had planned.

For 6-8 weeks per year, between 2016 and 2020, Venturi II was used in a training course for new Outremer owners to learn sailing and boat operation as well as provide an opportunity for new owners to investigate installation options while waiting for their new boats to be built.

Venturi II is real Outremer quality and has good sail properties. The boat can easily be handled by one person. Whether you are an experienced or new sailor, it will not punish you hard, even if you make a mistake – it is strong and forgiving. The sail balance is also great as there is no need to sit and hold on to the tiller or steering wheel all the time. I felt a big difference with this Outremer compared to my experience with other production catamarans I have owned. I know that the new owner will be able to take Venturi II wherever they wish.
